Classification and Characteristics of Special Containers

Special containers mainly refer to special containers used to load special goods. Mainly divided into: open top container (OPENTOPCONTAINER); frame container (FLATRACKCONTAINER); tank container (TANKCONTAINER) and so on.

An open-top container, also known as an open-top container, is a container without a rigid top, and its components other than the top are similar to dry containers. The open top box can be loaded with goods from the top, especially suitable for oversized goods such as machinery. The open top box is equipped with a PVC tarpaulin cover and a removable frame with wire seals. The door of the open top box can be removed for easy packing. There are 40-foot open-top cabinets and 20-foot open-top cabinets. The internal length of the 40-foot open-top cabinet is 11.54 meters, the width is 2.34 meters, and the height is 2.34 meters; the internal length of the 20-foot open-top cabinet is 5.89 meters. The width is 2.34 meters, and the height is 2.34 meters; the top width of the 20-foot open-top container and the 40-foot open-top container are both 2.2 meters. The open-top container can hold ultra-high cargo, suitable for loading ultra-high and heavy goods, such as architectural glass, Steel pipes, various large machines, moulds, etc. Open-top cabinets must be covered with rain cloths before they can be returned to the cabinet, and extra-high cargoes need to be purchased separately and covered with rain cloths.

The frame box has no top and sides, and is characterized by loading and unloading from the side of the container. The main cargo loaded in the frame container: super-long, super-wide, super-high large machinery and equipment and heavier cargo. Steel frame boxes are available in 20-foot and 40-foot sizes. Tank containers are mainly loaded with goods: mainly liquid chemicals: such as chemical products; oil products for industrial purposes, kerosene, fuel oil, gas (generally the cargo own box, ie SOC box).

Special Cabinet Quotation
Accurately understand the carrying capacity of the shipping market, as well as the shipping company’s pricing method and market price. Know the customer’s cargo parameters (preferably with photos), shipping time and delivery time. Fully estimate the difficulty of operation and fully account for the costs to be incurred.

Features of operating special cabinets
The special container itself has a relatively small amount of carriers, and the market demand is also small. The operation is difficult and the links are complicated. The entire transportation process requires multiple links to be confirmed before it can be undertaken. It is mainly necessary to confirm the container, price and space in advance. Prices vary widely and are not comparable. Many shipping companies do not provide special cabinet services. Relatively speaking, the value of goods carried by special containers is generally higher. Precautions for special cabinet operation Open top box: confirm the weight, size, loading and unloading requirements of the goods, and the owner’s requirements for the box in advance. Frame box: Confirm in advance the weight, size, loading and unloading requirements of the goods, the owner’s requirements for the box, the feasibility of the land transportation process, and accurately calculate the cost.
