Three Different Ports in Dubai, Iran and Qatar

To Understand the sea port is very important for the people who are doing import and export business in global. In this article I will describe about three different port(Jebel ali,Bandar Abbas and Hamad) from three different countries (Dubai,Iran and Qatar).

Jebel Ali port is a deep port located in Jebel Ali, Dubai, United Arab Emirates also sometime written “Mina Jebel Ali” , Jebel Ali port is located 35 km southwest of Dubai, in the Persian Gulf.

Jebel Ali is the biggest and by far the busiest port in the Middle-East and the world’s ninth busiest port, the largest man-made harbour. Jebel Ali was constructed in the late 1970s to supplement the facilities at Port Rashid.

Port Jebel Ali include over one million square meters of container yard. It also contains space for medium- and long-term general cargo storage, including 7 Dutch barns with a total of almost 19000 square meters and 12 covered sheds covering with 90.5 square meters. In addition, Port Jebel Ali also consist of 960000 square meters of open storage.

In 2011, 9 April Port of Jebel Ali won the Golden Award for Best Seaport Overall from the Higher Committee for Airports Security and UAE Civil Seaports .

Bandar Abbas port  is capital of Hormozgān Province and a port city. It’s locate on the southern coast of Iran. On the Persian Gulf. The city situate a strategic position on the narrow Strait of Hormuz,  it’s the location of the main base of the Iranian Navy. Bandar Abbas is also primary and largest city of Bandar Abbas County. its population was 367,508, with 89,404 families, at the 2006.

Bandar Abbas is situated on ground level with an average altitude of 9 meters above sea level. The nearest elevated areas are Mt. Geno, 17 kilometers to the north, and Mt. Pooladi, 16 kilometers to the northwest of the city. The closest river to Bandar Abbas is the River Shoor, which rises on Mt. Geno and flows into the Persian Gulf, 10 kilometers east of the city. South of the city is the island of Qeshm.

Hamad Port is a main seaport on Qatart, located south of Doha in the Umm Al-Houl area. Umm Al-Houl, an area south of the capital Doha and near to industrial city Mesaieed, was selected as the location for the port.

First unveiled in June 2007, construction of the port began in June 2010. it became operational in Dec 2016. It was officially opened in Sep 2017, and is expected to become fully operational by 2020. Capable of handling up to 7.8 million tonnes of products annually, the main trading which passes through the port consists of food and building materials.
