3. Types of International Railway Freight Transport

(2) Less-than-carload cargo. A batch of goods consigned according to a consignment note, the weight does not exceed 5,000 kg, according to its size or type of goods that do not require a separate vehicle to be transported are called less than cargo.
(3) Container cargo. Railway containers are divided into small tonnage, medium tonnage and large tonnage containers. At present, my country’s railways only handle 5 tons of railway containers transported by vehicles and 1-ton railway containers for less-than-carload transport, as well as imported goods shipped in large-tonnage containers prepared by the shipper.
